Here’s How You Can Help the Windsor
Community
Our neighboring community of Windsor has many needs as a result of the tornado two weeks ago. If you can provide any of the following items, you can take them to the Donation Center housed in the old Steele’s Building at 11th and Main St (behind McDonalds) or bring them to the church and we will get them there. The following has been supplied to us by First UMC of Windsor.
Funds are also needed to help the ten families who are members of Windsor UMC and have suffered damages, many who are not able to live in their homes.
Windsor Needs Updated
Update on Windsor Tornado needs (6/3/08).
We have been given an update on items needed presently at the Reception Center drop off point.
- Tarps
- nails for the tarps, special ones that have a plastic
- gasket so the tarps do not tear through
- trash cans
- hoses
- masks, N95 type
- rakes
- laundry soap
- new baby diapers
Additional items being requested by those in need are:
- Toilet Plungers
- Toilet Brushes
- Advil
- Tylenol
- Rubber Cleaning Gloves (kitchen gloves)
