Information Luncheon: If you are interested in becoming a member or learning more about us, be our guest for lunch at noon Sunday, July 6th .
Summer Book Review: On July 16th, a light meal will be served at 6:00 p.m. followed by the book review at 7:00 p.m. in the Parlor. Rev. Miller will review No Future Without Forgiveness by Desmon Tutu. This book chronicles Tutu’s time as chair of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, the remarkable attempt by South Africans to offer amnesty and forgiveness for human rights violations during the apartheid era. It is not necessary for you to have read the book to participate in the discussion, so come and enjoy the stimulating conversation!
Parent Child Book Discussion Group: Children and their parents have a fun opportunity to enjoy a book together this summer and then participate in a discussion group facilitated by Bev Halperin. On July 30th, 7:00 p.m., we will discuss The Cricket in Time Square by George Seldon. Pick up the book, enjoy reading it with your child and share your insights with the discussion group.
Methodist Young Men in Action: Targeting men in their 20’s and 30’s. A new opportunity for active young men to find fellowship in the church through fun and meaningful activities. Find out more: BBQ, backyard games and drawing for two Rockies baseball tickets on August 3rd at 12:30 p.m. on the north lawn at FUMC. Call Luke, 227-9084 or Adam, 988-1355 for further information.

Our neighboring community of Windsor has many needs as a result of the tornado two weeks ago. If you can provide any of the following items, you can take them to the Donation Center housed in the old Steele’s Building at 11th and Main St (behind McDonalds) or bring them to the church and we will get them there. The following has been supplied to us by First UMC of Windsor.
Funds are also needed to help the ten families who are members of Windsor UMC and have suffered damages, many who are not able to live in their homes.

It began six months ago as an outreach of First Church, Fort Collins and the Rocky Mountain Conference. "Have church, will travel!" is a phrase used by many of the participants. Choir members, instrumental groups, First Church members travel north to share their talents and mingle with Wellington attendees. A portable pulpit, battery candles, Methodist hymnals, curriculum for Sunday School, toys for nursery, coffee pot are toted in and out of Eyestone Elementary School in a spirit of love, comraderie, excitement. Help us continue spreading the word to friends and neighbors.
